The Computer Use connection gives your Agents access to a Duvo-hosted Windows desktop. Agents can open applications, click, type, and read the screen to work with desktop software and systems without APIs. You can save a configured desktop as a template so future Runs start with the applications, files, and settings they need.
Computer Use is in beta. Computer Use and desktop templates must be enabled for your team before you can use them.

Setup

Add Computer Use from the Connections panel in the Agent builder. If prompted, request access for your team. You can use the standard Windows desktop or a template prepared for your team.

Desktop templates

A desktop template is a snapshot of a configured machine. Use templates to install and configure applications once, then reuse that setup across Runs or share it with other Agents on your team. You can create a template manually or save the desktop from a finished Run.

Start a desktop

In Team Settings → Computer Use, create a new template. Start from the standard desktop or an existing template.

Configure the machine

Install the applications and prepare the files and settings your Agent needs. You can download installers in the desktop’s browser or upload them from your computer.

Save the template

Save your work, choose Save as template, and give the template a name. It becomes available once preparation is complete.

Save a template from a Run

If an Agent has already prepared the desktop you need, open the finished Run and choose Save as template from its desktop replay. Name and save the template to reuse that setup.

Use a template

Select a saved template in your Agent’s Computer Use connection. New desktops created for future Runs start with its applications, files, and settings.

Route traffic through your network with OpenVPN (optional)

Connect the desktop to your private network when your Agent needs access to internal applications or resources. Without a VPN, the desktop uses direct internet access. Add the OpenVPN configuration supplied by your network administrator in Team Settings, then select it for your Agent. The network is configured separately from the desktop template.
